Mining of association rules for treatment of dental diseases

A prior knowledge regarding the effectiveness of each medicines prescribed by a physician would be quite helpful to patient for rapid recovery from particular disease. In this paper, an attempt is put forward develop related association rules understanding roles different types treatment dental diseases, especially tooth pain (odontalgia/dentalgia) and swelling (pericoronitis). 75 cases dentist are analyzed determine average number prescribed, cost treatment, mine corresponding rules. It observed 1-item dataset that antibiotic#1 most preferred medicine, followed antiseptic. Similarly, 2-item shows combination on {antibiotic#1, antiseptic}, anti-reflux}. Among all developed, rule (If antibiotic#2 antiseptic, then anti-reflux) appears with maximum strength.
